Rae Dawn Chong

Second-generation actress Rae Dawn Chong made a strong impression in her feature film debut in Quest for Fire.
She spent almost all the movie nude, except for some chalk and body paint!
But, what won her the Genie Award (Canadian Academy Award) as Best Actress for her role as Ika was her ability to portray the character convincingly without any dialogue!

She's worked steadily since in both movies (big budget and independent) and television (starring and recurring roles in several series), doing drama, romantic comedy and genre while moving gracefully from teen ingenue to middle-age character roles.

Trivia:
Father is comedian Tommy Chong (of Cheech & Chong) and sister is actress / model Robbi Chong. She's performed with both of them in film and tv, including Cheech & Chong's the Corsican Brothers, which all three performed in.
Singer / comedian Stephen Lynch wrote a song about Rae Dawn entitled "R.D.C. (Opie's Lament)". It appears on his album A Little Bit Special.
